What to do in Nha Trang at a glance

The list below is a selection, not a ranking. It mixes free walks with paid visits and covers the city, the springs and the coast. Some things sit in town, others need a taxi, a boat or half a day.

Prices are for adults in 2026 and can change. Opening hours differ between sources for some places, so the entries say where to check first. One date to note: the cable car to VinWonders is announced to pause from 26 October to 10 November 2026.

In the city (1 to 5)

The beach, the towers, the pagoda, the market and the museum, all in or near the center.

1. Walk the Tran Phu city beach

The city beach runs along a promenade with restaurants, bars and hotels. Tourism sources give its length as 6 or 7 km, so treat both numbers as rough. It is the simplest start to a day, and the place to swim in town.

2. Visit the Po Nagar Cham towers

The brick towers date from the 7th to the 12th century and were built by the Cham for Yang Ino Po Nagar. They are still a place of worship. Dress modestly and take off your shoes before you enter a tower. Entry is reported at VND 30,000, and the opening hours are given as 6:00 or 8:00 am to 6:00 pm depending on the source, so check at the gate.

3. See Long Son Pagoda

This Buddhist pagoda stands at the foot of Trai Thuy mountain, with a large Buddha figure above the complex. It is an active temple, so dress modestly and keep your voice down. Check the entry fee and hours on site.

4. Shop at Dam Market

Dam Market sells food, household goods, clothes and souvenirs. It is a place to see everyday Nha Trang and to try local snacks. Ask for the price before you buy, and check the opening times locally.

5. Go to the oceanography museum

The museum is a separate attraction about the sea and its life. It is not the same as the aquarium inside the theme park. It makes a useful stop on a hot or wet afternoon. Check the price and hours before you go.

Children under 100 cm enter free. After 4:00 pm the ticket is VND 700,000 for adults. The cable car is included, the zipline is not. 7. Soak at I-Resort

I-Resort combines mineral springs with separately sold mud baths. The mineral pools and water park cost VND 200,000 for adults and VND 100,000 for children, without the mud bath. It opens daily from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and sells tickets until 4:30 pm.

8. Book a private tub at Thap Ba

Thap Ba sells private mud tubs at 438 Ngo Den, not to be confused with the Cham sanctuary of the same name. The package has 20 minutes in warm mud and 30 minutes in a mineral bath. The regular price is VND 350,000 per adult for 1 to 2 guests, VND 300,000 for 3 to 5 and VND 260,000 from 6 guests. Tickets are sold from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.

These need a taxi, a Grab ride or a boat.

10. Day out at Doc Let

Doc Let is a day-trip beach north of the city, 40 to 50 km depending on the source and the starting point. Tourism material describes shallow, calm water. That is a description, not a safety guarantee, so watch the flags and the conditions on the day.

11. Take a boat trip in the bay

A boat day is its own activity, with a possible bay fee of VND 6,000 to 10,000 per island. A tour with Hon Mun in its name does not give you the right to swim there, because swimming and diving in the strictly protected zone are suspended. Ask the operator which stops include time in the water.

12. Stay a night in Ninh Van Bay

The Six Senses resort in Ninh Van Bay is reached by road and then by boat: about 60 minutes by car from the airport and 20 minutes by boat. It is a private resort, not a public city beach. The resort lists a shared van and boat transfer at USD 64 per person each way. Transfers are not room prices.

Where to stay โ†’

How to combine them

Three simple days.

A first day can be the city: the beach in the morning, Po Nagar and Long Son by taxi, then Dam Market. A second day can be Hon Tre and VinWonders, or a boat trip in the bay. A third day suits the springs, either at I-Resort or Thap Ba. Leave a gap in the schedule for rain, because between September and December rain is common. The weather page shows the monthly pattern.

If you have more days in Vietnam, Hoi An is a popular next stop up the coast, and Phu Quoc is an island option in the south.

Things to do in Nha Trang: frequently asked questions

How many days do I need in Nha Trang?

Three days cover the main list: one in the city, one on a boat or at VinWonders, one at a mud bath or a beach. With less time, pick a boat day and the Po Nagar towers.

What can I do on a rainy day?

The oceanography museum, a mud bath or mineral pool at I-Resort or Thap Ba, and VinWonders, if the weather allows. Rain is most likely between September and December.

How much does VinWonders cost?

In 2026 the standard ticket is VND 1,050,000 for guests 140 cm and taller and VND 800,000 for 100 to under 140 cm and for seniors of 60 and older. Children under 100 cm are free.

Can I swim at Hon Mun?

No, not in the strictly protected zone. A ministry report of 20 May 2026 says swimming and diving remain suspended there. Ask your operator which stops allow time in the water.

What should I wear at Po Nagar and Long Son?

Wear modest clothes and take off your shoes before entering the towers. Both are places of worship. Ask before you photograph worshippers.
